    this fredrick wenworth is very good looking but he doesnt look like a weather beaten captain of 8 or 9 years.

    anne is considered an “old maid”, but in the book 4 men fall in love with her at some period of the book.

    to be hounest i feel more for anne. she did what any women was expected to do at the time but she still gets the short end of the stick

    @shaqdaddy11 but you have to understand in the time this was written women where expected to marry as well as possible and those that did not could be cut off from there familys. with are modern wayy of thinking we could say that is unfair, but in the time this was written its jus the way it was
