To all Christian believers of the “Trinitarian persuasion” Would you?

Query by Edward N: To all Christian believers of the “Trinitarian persuasion” Would you?
Please consider the doctrine of The Trinity to be much more of an try to DEFINE God than to gain ACCESS to God. Access comes only by means of the Name and Person of Jesus Christ, WHO IS THE Excellent DEFINITION OF GOD. Dont you agree?
“I am the way, the truth and Life. No man cometh unto The Father but by me”
“I am THE door”
Whoever has The Son has The Father also. Whoever has not The Son has neither.
Whatsoever we do in word or deed, we do all in The Name of The Lord Jesus giving thanks to God and The Father by Him.
“All the fullness of the godhead dwelleth in Him bodily and you are full in Him which is head of all principality and electrical power.”
Jesus taught in Matt 28:19 that His Name covers the authority of The Father, Son and Holy Ghost”.
There is only 1 Lamb of God. It is by means of His blood, shed on the cross that we are reconciled with God.
“Unto Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His personal blood.”
THATS JESUS !

You sound like a Jesus Only individual (United Penticostalism)…been there, bought the T-shirt and have the literal scars to prove it.

1Jn 1:3 That which we have observed and heard declare we unto you, that ye also might have fellowship with us: and genuinely our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

There’s a name for your Oneness doctrine. It’s known as modalism. Read up on it online. It states that Jesus and the Holy Spirit had a beginning. Genesis 1 clearly says that the Holy Spirit was present at creation. Colossians, speaking of Jesus, says that he created the world. All things were created by him and for him. Modalism denies that they are eternal.

A Lutheran minister told me about modalism. It was a heresy of the early church that the church fathers fought vehemently. All I can tell you is to read your Bible in context, something the UPC doesn’t do. That means to read all the verses in front of and after the verses they quote. You may have to read whole paragraphs or chapters for that one passage to make sense. For instance, your church quotes the Ephesians passage, one Lord, one faith, one body to support their oneness theory. If you read in context several chapters before that, it refers to the church as being one body. This is not referring to the physical body of Jesus, but the body (or collectiveness, one big group) of believers.

Anyway, if you had read your Bible from cover to cover, you would see that it has one central theme: Jesus Christ and his death on the cross to save us from our hopeless state of sin. This is what is important. I’ve had Acts 2:38 crammed down my throat. In the twenty some years I was in your cult, Jesus was only mentioned one time in passing. He saves us, not some formula we ourselves do. I could go on. Read Colossians 2 end of chapter where it talks about how following a rigid set of rules won’t save us.

The bottom line is that only Jesus and faith in him can save us. We can’t do it ourselves like the UPC would have you believe Eph 2:8-9. It’s a gift that God just gives us. God is not going to punish us eternally if we believe in a Oneness or a Trinity. He takes into account our frail minds and understanding. I don’t know what God you serve, but mine is loving and forgiving, not judgmental toward those he calls his own.

The ONLY reason why people believe in TRINITY, is because they haven’t heard the truth. The reason why they haven’t heard the truth is because those of the Apostolic faith can’t define their belief in Jesus. Don’t get me wrong, we know that Acts 2:38 is the correct way of being “BORN OF WATER, AND BORN OF SPIRIT”(John 3:5), but what is the “ORIGIN” OF ACTS 2:38? Most, if not all “ONENESS” folks will tell you “PETER” came up with it on the day of Pentacost because he was given the “Keys of the Kingdom of Heaven”(Matthew 16:18-19), but Acts 2:38 Came from
the Cross of Jesus Christ. I’ll Explain:
The first 3 hours on the Cross is the DEFINITION of Acts 2:38
When they nailed Christ to the Cross a “BAPTISM” was taking place( LUKE 12:50), Jesus was being Baptized with Blood(death) that day, but not just him, but the 2 thieves also on his right and left. The Isaiah 53:12 prophecy is fulfilled- He shall be numbered with the Transgressors(the 2 thieves Mark 15:27-28) and make INTERCESSION for the transgressors(LUKE 23:33-34)”FATHER FORGIVE THEM- That day the 2 thieves were being BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, because that name was NAILED above the head of Jesus.(JOHN 19;19) So the 2 thieves were BAPTIZED in the name of the Lord (in blood). But you have to REMEMBER that in Christ was Blood and Water(John 19:34) and the Blood and Water Came out of his body. So that tells me we can be BAPTIZED in blood “IN THE NAME OF JESUS” ,or BAPTIZED in the Water “IN THE NAME OF JESUS”. Myself, I’d prefer WATER, seems a bit easier.
And when the one thief spoke up for Christ on the Cross -this is where REPENTANCE is defined.(Luke 23:40-42)
And because he spoke up or “Repents”, Jesus gives him the “HOLY SPIRIT”, when Jesus says,”To day shalt thou be with me in paradise”. Because JESUS’ words were “SPIRIT”(JOHN 6:63- “the words i speak ARE Spirit and life”).
    To sum all things up:
The thief “REPENTS”- when he speaks up for Jesus
is BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST-when he is nailed to the Cross alongside of Jesus
Jesus FORGIVES HIM OF HIS SIN because he is being baptized with Christ and this is where Jesus fullfills prophecy(ISAIAH 53:12) “he made INTERCESSION for the Transgressors”
and receives the HOLY GHOST, which are the “WORDS” of JESUS -John 6:63(“the words I speak are Spirit”)
And thats where “ACTS 2:38″ ORIGINATED. It didnt originate from PETER(peter was just chosen to speak up)but as you can see “ACTS 2:38 ORIGINATED from JESUS on the Cross. THIS IS WHERE SALVATION IS ORIGINATED.
    THATS JESUS!
