A visual interpretation of Crystal Blue Persuasion. The audio is from a live performance. They nevertheless sound excellent! I really like this song. For some reason, the comments area of this video was the forum for a debate about religion and what Tommy James had in thoughts when he wrote this song. For me, Crystal Blue Persuasion is a transcendent song… about a lot more than a specific religious view… about “peace and good and brotherhood” It is simultaneously a plea and a message of hope… “the sun is rising… folks are changing… a new vibration… possibly tomorrow…” i do not know what certain influences (religious or otherwise) motivated Tommy James to write and perform this gem, but I am certain that the message is about how we should be treating other members of the human household and that it is a message of hope.

A friend on Facebook just posted this and I had to click on and listen, as well as do so research. Gosh I listened to this on the AM Radio Stations when I was a kid. Don’t you wish you could go back to those days of not worrying about where your next meal was coming from, we rode our bikes behind the fogger machines and thought it was cool, we played outside all day without worring about someone lurking around the corner. I was in Wyoming growing up, weekend camping, fishing, hunting, miss it
