In my prior blogs, I talked about that my family can be compared with the fictional characters of Martha Cecilia’s Villa Kristine, The Fortalejo Family. My dear Aunt Anita Uy can be compared with the fictional novel character, Margarita Fortalejo. Our elders have conventional and strict Chinese culture. A girl like me who is exposed in a contemporary age culture could not quickly grasp the standard Chinese setting. But, I am nevertheless blessed. I have peers to assistance me. I also have a loving father who loves me dearly. And, I have a God who truly cares. That is why I am pleased and contented even although every thing is not excellent in my idealism.
My dear Aunt Anita Uy a. k. a. Margarita Fortalejo was hospitalized in 3 days due to the stomach and intestine complications. She could not eat usually in two weeks. My father and other members of the family are really worried about her so they convinced her to talk to a medical doctor as an alternative of going to some Chinese quack medical doctors. On the other hand, the specimen located in large intestine would be tested in four to 5 days, and the physician will give the last diagnosis to my dear Aunt Anita Uy a. k. a. Margarita Fortalejo.
As a least favorite niece, I am also alarmed with her wellness problem. I am also a relative so it is my obligation to display my care to her. Then, I was just began to go back to my day-to-day Bible devotion and fellowship with God when this incident happened. It is like God is trying to tell us a thing important about our relationship with Him. I also have lots of fears when I stopped to have fellowship with God and daily Bible devotion like economic instability and unemployment. When I go back to my daily Bible devotion and fellowship with God, I regain back my powerful faith with Him.
My dear Aunt Anita Uy a. k. a. Margarita Fortalejo is an old maid. She is quite conservative, extremely meticulous, really standard, and quite strict. We typically do not get along a lot. When she was hospitalized at Metropolitan Hospital in Masangkay St., I grab this opportunity to share to her the excellent news in 1 Corinthians 2 (Holman Christian Regular Version). Thankfully, she listened to my Scripture studying and we prayed with each other. In two nights, we both prayed with each other for her healing and God’s guidance to our very good relationship.
On April 01, 2011, I asked her if she is prepared to pray with me once more. She got irritated and doesn’t like to pray with me any longer. She stated that she needed rest and liked to watch the Chinovela in cable Tv. Then, as my respect to her, I did not disturb her again. And, my father advised that I need to let my dear aunt rest to achieve her full strength. I am extremely pleased that my prayers have been answered by Sacred Heart of Jesus and Divine Mercy.
On that identical day, I am ready to kiss the relics from the Holy Land Jerusalem at the Shrine of Sacred Heart of Jesus in Makati. I also wrote my prayer petition for her complete healing, long life, and fruits of the Holy Spirit.
Last March 30, 2011, I prayed the deliverance prayer for her so she can easily gain back her full strength. I learned that deliverance prayer from the Exorcism book of Fr. Jose Syquia. I also utilised that deliverance prayer for myself when I am trying to cope up with my depression.
Last March 31, 2011, I prayed the three o’ clock habit and other typical Catholic prayers for her. I also supplied a Healing Mass at the Shrine of Sacred Heart of Jesus in Makati. I also have the prayer petitions for her healing at 700 Club, Light of Jesus Community, Divine Mercy Community, Don Stewart Ministries, Ptr. Jeanette Yu, Ms. Myles of VCF-Malate, and St. Stephen Parish’s Saturday Morning Prayer Group.
God is excellent to me and to my dear Aunt Anita Uy a. k. a. Margarita Fortalejo. That is how wonderful my God is!
